Thank you to our collaborator BRIX Distillers!

A few weeks ago, there was a shortage in hand sanitisers across the country. In addition, bars had to close too. There was two issues that COVID-19 has created in Australia. A health problem, where there is not enough hand santisers for hospitals and the community; and an economic issue, where bar staff are stepped down from their jobs as bars and cafes had to close.

In come BRIX distillers. The Sydney-based distilling company was featured in the news as they have reallocated their bar staff to form part of their hand sanitiser manufacturing production crew. The equipments used for making alcoholic spirits like rum are quite similar to those that manufactured pure alcohol for hand sanitiser and other industrial purpose.

Instead of using the alcohol to make their signature products, they have diverted their alcohol to making hand sanitisers according to the World Health Organization's guidelines. This ensures that Australia continues to have evolving and adaptive industries to help divert resources for pandemic efforts like COVID-19.

BRIX distillers have done a wonderful job in ensuring their team members continue to get a livelihood while supporting Australia's fight against the coronavirus.

Pharmacist Army was fortunate enough to get a priority order on 2 cases of hand sanitisers, provided it was put to good use in the community.

So far, we have distributed all the hand sanitisers with accompanying atomisers to help our less fortunate and vulnerable populations use the product more effectively.

The many veterans at various RSL villages are grateful and says a big thank you to BRIX distillers for your aid!
